Dorset Square Hotel is the latest addition to the Firmdale family but London's newest boutique hotel is actually the group's first. Let us explain... the hotel was Firmdale's first when it opened in 1985 but they sold it in 2002, only to repurchase it ten years on. The 38-bedroom boutique hotel has been designed by Kit Kemp to bring luxury throughout. The hotel is located on the site of the old Lords Cricket Ground in Marylebone, so expect subtle design references to the typically British game.
The Potting Shed restaurant serves English brasserie style cuisine using locally sourced and seasonal produce and a 24-hour room service menu is also available.
Following on from the excitement of Dorset Square, Firmdale Hotels will open another new hotel, in Soho, London in 2013. Ham Yard will feature 90 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, 120-seat cinema and even a bowling alley.
